I attended UC Davis for about 3 weeks...I withdrew from school because I had some stress-related mental health problems and was given permission by the psychological services on campus to drop the quarter. I'm planning to buy a new computer which would last me around 5 years in the future.

What i mean by lasting 5 years is CPU's, VGA's, Motherboards are getting smaller and faster and more powerful, so i don't want my computer case to be limited, i want a computer case that can meet the standards of future components.

how come i can't add ram to my computer?

im using a 4gb ram computer and theres 4 slots. got 2 x2gb ram alrdy and treied adding a single 1gb ram stick
tried switching both around and then i even added an other 1gb ram so all slots are full. i got a new generation motherboard than can easily support 6gb but how come when i push the ram such as playing call of duty 4 and 5 the computer gets the blue physical dumping screen?runs normally but just when i push the computer it freezes. if i take the 2 extra ram out it runs normally. chees.
