What is a 3 prong grounding plug? Is it the power wire a computer comes with?
I need to open up my computer to upgrade a video graphics card. However, I'm aware of ESD, which can fry my computer. So, I need to understand exactly how to ground myself. Some people say it's best to plug the computer in with 3 prong plugs, turn the computer off, touch the case of the computer, and then use one hand to install the card. Is this practical or not?
